A junior high ski trip? I never had a trip like that for a whole weekend but that sounds like fun. Idk how Miranda and Courtney sound find that lame.
I’d probably have the same insecurities as Ginger though. I can’t ski either, although I don’t see as the most dramatic confession haha. It’s really sweet of her friends to encourage her to go on the trip to have fun doing other things. Dodi even offers to help her conceal her nose from redness even though she’s clearly not very good at it lol
I find it totally hilarious that Carl “denied” his classmate’s request to borrow the empty chair. He is so much bigger than Carl but still listens to him anyway lol
It’s super obvious that Carl and Hoodsie are close since he can understand what Carl says even when he talks with his mouth full of food haha Is it strange that I find Carl’s idea to set a world record for being stuck on a ski lift kind of tame? I think I’m starting to expect too much
Miranda just loves to make things interesting, doesn’t she? That bet to get someone to go to first base with the foreign exchange student? I mean, why didn’t she or Courtney do it themselves? He seemed cute enough. But of course, Courtney had to get Ginger involved. I agree with her though. Ginger definitely has got a contagious charm, not that Miranda would ever see it
Side note: I love that Darren is so sweet to these girls, even letting Maci pretty much eat his entire lunch haha He doesn’t even get mad about Ginger breaking his leg (even if it is a win for him since a cast is supposed to be a “babe magnet”)
Courtney not only gets Dodie and Maci’s wrong more than once, but even gets their fake names confused haha Also how high maintenance is she that her Dad is the one who does her homework when she’s gone? Or at least writes down her ‘to do list’ to get other people to do it?
I love how Mrs. Foutley truly embraces Carl’s personality and weird hobbies, even if it is to get him out of a room by telling him to throw the rotten cabbage at their car lol She’s truly the master of catering to her children’s needs. Even Ginger plays along by stating her name and reason for entering his room
I had forgotten that Ginger had a crush on some guy named Ian. I also noticed that I’ve never seen a cartoon that shows females practicing how to kiss? At least not any that I can remember. Also why do cartoons have French characters with the worst French accents? It’s cringe worthy!
Overall I thought the message to conquer your fears was well done. She didn’t go through with the kissing (even if all she really did fall out of the lift) but she just wasn’t ready. But at least she realized that whenever that moment of having her first kiss does come, it won’t be so scary. She may not know exactly what she’s doing, like skiing, but she’ll get the hang of it eventually. It’s all just a learning process. Such a good episode! Not my favorite in the whole series admittedly, but still really good!

I'm loving this so much! Once a week is not enough.
I think Courtney and Miranda are so used to going on ski trips and such all the time that they don't find anything special about it as opposed to the other kids who don't get to do these types of things ever.
This is one of the episodes I don't hate Dodi. She tries to stay positive and actually build up Ginger (for once).
The world record thing is something I think a lot of kids would be interested in trying to create. How much did Carl bribe the guy? Because I feel like it couldn't possibly be enough to make getting in trouble (his boss, Lois) worth it.
Mrs. Foutley is totally parent goals. I love that Ginger feels comfortable talking to her about everything.
I do like the message of this episode. I feel like it's normal to not be ready to kiss at this age but you feel a lot of pressure like you should be. I'm glad they didn't have Ginger kiss him like a lot of shows probably would have.

Ginger is such a great role model. Not only when I was young watching but now too. She wanted to be popular but she also wasn't afraid to stand up for what's right. I how she stands up for Hoodsie at the end of 'sleep on it.' And I agree that Dodie and Maci are kind of living through Ginger when she's getting this attention from Courtney. I'm glad they are excited for her and helping her (most of the time) instead of being jealous.
'Of Lice and Friends' isn't my favorite episode. Probably because it focuses too much on annoying Dodie. I can't believe Dodie thinks she can take Courtney down. I'm sure Courtney would find a way to make lice cool. And how didn't anyone else stop Dodie when she was making the announcement? She should have gotten in some kind of trouble for trying to let out that information. And I also think its funny how Courtney trusts Ginger with her lice information. Not funny haha but just that she an see Ginger won't judge her like most other people would. I love the little hug at the end. Hugs clearly aren't something Courtney does often which makes it even more meaningful.

I liked this episode simply because it reminded me of how morning announcements were so strict and boring at my middle school. It certainly would have been interesting to have one of the anchors spilling some tea about the shenanigans of the school lol. However you guys are right.. The teachers definitely should have intervened when Dodie was speaking out of line about other students. How would she like it if someone told everyone that she had lice? I definitely feel that Dodie is an opportunist.... and that doesn't make a very good friend. And even though I love Macie and her tender personality, I feel like she could have done more to back Ginger up when she was telling her that she should focus on the real announcements instead of just going with the flow of gossip. However they are just middle schoolers and that's usually what ends up happening!

I'm not even surprised about the pituitary gland and sex talk for this Nick kids show. Nick has always mention stuff like this on their shows (I know Rocko had a lot).
I never noticed any lesbian attractions going on while watching the show. I think it's normal for kids to be obsessed with their friends. When you're really young you want to have a lot in common with your friends and even be like them to a point. Maybe that's just me.
Totally agree with how confusing and easy it is to get crushes on people when you're young (and even when you're not that young sometimes).
Love Hello Stranger. It's so honest.
"He looks diseased." "That's how he always looks." Hahaha
