Hey everyone, as you heard on the announcement video, this will be our final bonus podcast featuring a special guest. Since We're in Between will most likely end by late February, we'll be interviewing one more person and we did it, everyone! The person everyone has requested to get a hold of for this podcast has finally said yes! After months and months and months of constant messaging, the person we gotten a hold of is... YES!!!! It's the creator of As Told by Ginger herself. The one and only Emily Kapnek! Because this is our LAST bonus podcast for We're in Between, we're giving you 3 weeks to ask a question. Yes, 3 weeks. Yes, ONE question. Just like our interview with Melissa Disney, Emily is very, very, very busy with a ton of projects and only has about 30 minutes of spare time for us to interview her. So, please ask one question per person. Because so many of you will probably ask her similar questions, we'll ask it as a general one if it comes to that case. Plus, there might be a chance that we may NOT have the time to ask one of your questions. So, please understand that if that's the case. We'll be interviewing Emily on February 25th and release it on the 28th, the day after we release the Season 3 recap of We're in Between. Emily is very excited to be a part of the podcast and answering your questions. Thanks again for everything, everyone and we're in between!

[Please feel free to shorten this question if necessary]
Hello Emily, first of all I would like to thank you so much for the wonderful childhood memories and for giving your time to answer fan questions. My question is, are Carl and Hoodsey in a relationship as adults? In the series finale, Hoodsey and Carl are sitting next to each other as Ginger reads her book aloud to an older audience. There is speculation that Hoodsey and Carl are a couple in the future but it is also possible that Hoodsey is with Macie, given their history and that he is wearing a large ring and he nudges in her direction as the camera pans across the first row at Ginger's book reading but he is leaning towards Carl. Also, during the series finale Carl carries Hoodsey into Jonas' apartment like a bride across a threshold and Hoodsey wraps his arms around Carl in a protective manner when they confront Nikki Laporte at the wedding alter. Does Hoodsey end up in a romantic relationship with Macie or Carl or neither of them?

Dear Emily, Thanks for creating this amazing show! This was literally my childhood! But before I go any further ranting about how awesome the show was for me, I would like to ask what would’ve became of Orion since it shows in the ending Darren and Ginger return together once again? I always had the theory that Orion has a tragic ending. I’d like to hear your take if ATBG was to progress any further. Greetings from Chicago!

Hello Emily Katpnek, Welcome to the podcast and it is a honor to hear your voice. While your show ended long before after I was a little kid, I stumbled upon it on Youtube and fell in love with the show since then.
(Jokey question:) CAN I HUG YOU?
(Real question:) I want to be an animator, but I want to create my own stories around my own series. Do you have any advice for an inspiring pre-young adult writer?
Thank you, Kapnek. We love you and cherish with the memories you had with the show.

Oh my gosh, this is a dream come true. I just can't believe my own ears and eyes that a creator (which is very hard to connect with these because of their busy schedule and production. But hey I'm not complaining.)
I have a question for Ms. Kapnek.
How come out of all the Klasky-Csupo, As Told by Ginger never skyrocketed into advertisements like toys, video games, DVD?

Finally! Emily, we can’t tell you how thankful we are that you’ve agreed! Sorry I can only ask one question, and though someone already asked this with Melissa Disney, you’re the creator, so you’re the perfect person to ask!
If the show hadn’t been cancelled after season 3, what would you have wanted to happen for the show in season 4? Some fans consider season 3 to be rushed because they were trying to end the show quickly (including an unanswered cliffhanger to Wicked Game, the increased amount of drama & the super-wrap at the end of The Wedding Frame). Maybe this could be answered if As Told By Ginger ever gets a TV movie revival a la Hey Arnold!, Rocko’s Modern Life & Invader Zim.

Hello, Ms. Kapnek!
You may remember me as NoParking Berry on Twitter (I tagged you in some fanart before). "As Told by Ginger" has been one of my top 10 favorite cartoons for over three years now, and I say becoming a fan of it was one of my best decisions ever. Bless you for creating this beautiful Nicktoon, Emily!
Now for my question. I know you're more of a writer than an artist or animator, so when it came to creating the look of Ginger and the other characters, did you doodle the initial rough drafts of their designs yourself, or did you immediately went seeking for a character designer at Klasky Csupo to fulfill that duty?

Hey Emily! I am a huge fan of your show since I was 9-10 years old and let me tell you it’s a real shame that they don’t make cartoons like this too often that actually teach kids important life lessons and deal with important issues. It would be awesome to see a reboot of this show, but one can only dream!
I remember seeing an interview with you back in 2002 where you said that Ms Zorsky was based on your favorite teacher who was actually called Ms Zorski. My question is did you base Ginger Foutley off anyone in real life?

Sorry, forgot my login info, hope that's not an issue.
Anyway, my question (I'm surprised no one asked this yet):
A lot of people claim that Courtney Gripling's fascination with Ginger was because she was in love with Ginger. I think this is everyone's one and only true opportunity to find out...
Is it true? Are these up-to-17 years old speculations valid?

Was there suppose to be another episode between the events of Wicked Game and The Easter Ham that describes how Ginger, Doty and Macy patched things up after having their major falling out in Wicked Game, and being good friends again come The Easter Ham, almost as if the events of Wicked Game, didn't exist?

Wow. Finally! Welcome Emily, and THANK YOU for everything Ginger. QUESTION: After observing Ginger's difficulty in romantic relationships throughout the series and then hearing some of the thoughts she expresses in "The Wedding Frame", I'm led to believe that she and Darren DIDN'T get married. Yes, they have a kid together, he's supportive and all that, but they did not "tie the knot" as it were. Is my impression wrong? BTW: If you ever do a live-action feature film of this series, PLEASE solicit ideas from fans!
